ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Justice and Law has appointed Dr Syed Muhammad Anwar as Judicial Member, Customs Appellate Tribunal, Islamabad, who would take charge of the office in coming week and will start hearing of cases already pending in the Customs Appellate Tribunal .
In a recent development pertaining to affairs of Customs Appellate Tribunal, the Ministry of Law and Justice, which oversees matters relating to the tribunal, had appointed Dr Syed Muhammad Anwar as Judicial Member of Bench-II, Islamabad under the auspices of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Through the notification, the ministry stated: “The competent authority i.e. the Prime Minister has been pleased to appoint Dr Syed Muhammad Anwar Judicial Member (BS-21), Customs Appellate Tribunal, Islamabad for the period of 2 years or until further orders “.
The notification had been delivered to the several offices of state including the Cabinet division, Establishment division, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Customs Appellate Tribunal and others.
