LAHORE: Punjab Cooperatives Minister Malik Muhammad Iqbal Chanar on Friday said that after the computerisation of land record, citizens can get their case records in 30 minutes and get the same attested in just 50 minutes.
Talking to Customs Today, he said that land record in 20 districts of Punjab had been completed, which is a great achievement of the government. Under the project of Land Record Computerisation, the Punjab government has established facilitation centres in 143 tehsils, which are providing facilities to the citizens at their doorsteps. The system of land record is being computerised and is just a click away from the common people.
Channar said that there were many mistakes in manual land record of the province. After computerisation of the system, mistakes have been minimised and the record is being maintained in a proper way, he said. “The land record has complete details of the citizens, like the national identity card and fingerprints.”
According to the provincial minister, computerisation of land record in the remaining 16 districts of Punjab would be completed soon.
