ISLAMABAD: Federal government would extend the date for settling the issue of withholding tax on banking transactions as the talks between government and traders could not draw any acceptable decision.
As per details, during the talks held yesterday, both parties could not reach agreement in this regard. The government had announced that matter will be resolved till November 15.
On the other hand, representatives of traders have showed concerns over not arranging the meetings minutes, besides demanding to record the discussion made during meeting.
Sources at FBR said that numbers of points are required to bring under discussion, while the major issue of conditions for filing tax returns by non-filer traders, has not been settled yet.
The WHT rate between both parties is still disputed while the matter of amount limit on which tax will be charged is also under discussion.
