Govt notifies Dr. Shahab Imam as member of Civil & Criminal Laws Reforms Committee

ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Law and Justice has issued notification for inclusion of Dr. Shahab Imam as Co-opted member of Civil and Criminal Laws Reforms Implementation Committee with immediate effect.

A notification issued in this regard read “in pursuance of para (xi) of this Division’s notification of even number dated 15.11.2021, Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Chairman of the Civil and Criminal Laws Reforms Implementation Committee has been pleased to include Dr. Shahab Imam Advocate as co-opted member of the said Committee.

Dr Shahab Imam is now an advocate and legal consultant but he served Pakistan Customs for several years at different key posts. He performed his duties as Additional Collector, MCC of Appraisement (East), Karachi and Additional Collector, MCC (Export), Customs House, Karachi before his retirement. Dr. Shahab Imam also served as Additional Collector – V, Group – VI/VIII, One Customs, Users’ ID, Facilitation, Law, FTO, Inter-Port Movement and Examination at NLCCT. During his tenure at Karachi Customs, he was assigned duties as Additional Collector-VI, Group-III, IV, Law, FTO, Refund and Inter Port Movement.

President of Pakistan also warded shield to Dr Shahab Imam at ITCN Asia 2019 for his untiring efforts, enabling the environment for youth, innovation, industry and ease of doing business
