‘Govt should withdraw all taxes on beauty parlours’

MULTAN: Former general secretary of the Hair Dressers Association demanded the government withdraw all the taxes imposed on the beauty parlours.

While addressing the media at the Multan Press Club along with association president Muhammad Latif Sappal, including other members of the association Abdul Lateef Usmani, Mehboob Ahmad , Rubina Ashraf, Fouzaia Waheed, Mahnoor  and Niaz Siddiqui against the newly imposed taxes in the budget 2015-16. He stated that the government is already charging heavy taxes on the beauty products available in the country this new tax will damage their businesses badly.

He termed new taxes on the beauty salons exorbitant and urged government to withdraw all imposed taxes on the beauty parlours immediately in order to avoid deterioration of beauty parlours business in the country.

They further stated, that due to imposition of taxes on the beauty salons government have halted their halal source of income and due to taxes their business is in serious threat.  They said that all the beauticians are already paying taxes on the purchase of shaving creams and other beauty products consumed in the beauty salons .Well educated women operating beauty salons in their houses are already facing obstacles  in the society and now this new tax in the budget will create more difficulties for them.

They have demanded for the removal of taxes on the beauty parlours in order to guard their businesses as it is providing employment to thousands of beauticians in the country and beauty salon are availing any sort of financial relief from the government .Government must withdraw all taxes immediately for the continuation of their businesses.
