Grant operation against Pindi encroachers announced

RAWALPINDI: The city administration has announced to launch a grand operation against the encroachers.

Town Municipal Officer (TMO) Rawal Town Mir Akmal said that the operation would be carried out and would remain operative till the elimination of the encroachment in the city areas. He asked the shopkeepers to remove all encroachments else their goods will be confiscated and put to auction.

He directed the officials to take strict action against those creating hurdles in the smooth flow of traffic. He said that no one would be allowed to violate rule of law.

Earlier, TMA officials carried out operation in Raja Bazaar, Commercial Market, Said Pur Road, Jamia Masjid Road, Hamilton Road, Ganjmandi, Liaquat Road, Iqbal Road against encroachment and confiscated six trucks of goods. While, the traders representatives have fully assured their cooperation for removing the encroachments.
