NEW YORK: The contest is not just for Chamber of Commerce members. It is open to all local businesses with a store front and chamber president and CEO Marcia O’Kane said she is hoping for a lot of local involvement to show off how Greenwich gets into the spirit of the holiday.
“This is so much fun and we love to do it every year,” O’Kane said. “We get to celebrate our local businesses and they get to be creative. We want to make everyone aware of all the wonderful holiday decorations our local businesses have and get as many businesses as we can involved.”
Prizes and special recognition will go to the businesses who do the most festive decoration to their storefronts.
According to O’Kane the judging will take place in four areas. Central Greenwich will cover from the intersection of North Street and East Putnam Avenue to the Anthropologie store at 480 West Putam Avenue. The Byram/Glenville/Pemberwick area will also be evaluated as will Cos Cob and Riverside and, finally, Old Greenwich.
