Gujranwala Customs Intelligence impounds Mitsubishi Lancer

SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Gujranwala, had impounded a car, Mitsubishi Lancer worth Rs 1.2 million the other day during an action.

Reportedly, Customs Intelligence Deputy Director Zainab Mehmood constituted a team under the command of Superintendent Muhammad Akmal and deputed it on Grand Trunk (GT) road to check vehicles.

The superintendent and his team checked various vehicles. Meanwhile a car, Mitsubishi Lancer was found non-duty paid, as the owner of the vehicle could not show the documents regarding the legal import and lawful possession of the vehicle.

Therefore, the officials impounded the vehicle and shifted it to the office of the Gujranwala Customs Intelligence and Investigation. It was informed that the case will be forwarded to the Customs Adjudication.
