SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Gujranwala, has confiscated Iranian oil worth Rs 200,000 from a shop in Pasrur (Sialkot).
Following information regarding the existence of smuggled Iranian diesel, Customs Intelligence Deputy Director Zainab Mehmood formed a team under the supervision of Intelligence Officer Mian Muhammad Yousaf.
The intelligence officer along with his team raided various oil shops in Pasrur (Sialkot) and recovered Iranian smuggled oil from a shop worth Rs 200,000. The officials confiscated oil, as shopkeeper, Abdul Hameed, could not show documents regarding the legal import of the oil from Iran. Officials said that a case has also been registered against the accused person, besides warning the other shopkeepers of stern action, if they found involved in such crimes.
