Gujranwala FIA arrests six human traffickers

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) apprehended six human traffickers-cum-notorious proclaimed offenders while raiding various areas in Sialkot, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din and Gujranwala districts.

Gujranwala FIA Deputy Director Ch Khalid Anees said that the FIA arrested six offenders named Muhammad Nawaz, Muhammad Faisal, Mujahid, Muhammad Tariq, Muhammad Akmal and Humayoun, saying that the accused were wanted by the FIA in various cases related to human trafficking.

He said that the accused had been running illegal business of sending the innocent people abroad especially European, African, Middle East, Far East countries and the Gulf States by extorting big amounts after showing them the gold dreams of their lucid future in abroad.

He revealed that FIA has sent the accused behind the bars after registering separate cases against them, while further investigations are underway, he said.
