Gwadar Custom seizes 12,000 liters diesel, oil tanker

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate, Gwadar, has seized 12,000 litre of Iranian diesel and more than 200 packets of brake oil during separate raids.

The director of Customs Intelligence received information that Iranian diesel would be smuggle through a tanker. Subsequently, the director formed an anti-smuggling team to check the vehicles near Jiwani check post.

During the checking of vehicles, the team intercepted a tanker and recovered 12,000 litre of Iranian diesel, which was confiscated along with oil tanker as the driver could not show documents regarding the custom clearance.

In another incident, the customs Intelligence team intercepted a bus and after investigation recovered 200 packets of non-customs paid brake oil. The team arrested the accused and confiscated the smuggle items.
