Gwadar Customs Intelligence seizes 36,000 liters smuggled Iranian diesel

KARACHI: The Gwadar Model Customs Collectorate has seized 36,000 liters Iranian oil during a successful raid in Jambi while three persons were arrested in the action.

As per the details, Collector Saeed Akram received information that a huge quantity of Iranian diesel was being smuggled out of Gwadar. Consequently, he formed the Customs Intelligence team and established check-points in the area of Jambi and started the checking of vehicles. During the checking of vehicles, the team intercepted a suspicious oil tanker which was filled with 36,000 liters Iranian oil. The team asked the driver about customs clearance documents but he remained failed to satisfy the officials. The team seized the fuel and impounded the tanker which was used in smuggling. Customs officials told that the value of sized oil and tanker is more than Rs 10 million.
