Gwadar Customs recovers huge quantity of narcotics worth Rs 10m

KARACHI: Gwadar Customs authorities recovered a huge quantity of narcotics during a crackdown.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Saeed Akram received information that a huge quantity of narcotics were being smuggled outside Gwadar city. He immediately formed a raiding team.

The customs team established many check points at main entry and exit points of the city and started checking of vehicles. The customs team intercepted a truck which was loaded with hardware material. During the checking of the vehicle, the customs team recovered 100 kilograms of fine quality hashish from the secret parts of the truck.

During initial investigations, the driver of the vehicle told customs team that he was going to deliver these narcotics to Karachi. The market value of the seized narcotics is Rs 10 million.

Customs team after registering a case of smuggling against accused persons started investigations.
