Gwadar Customs recovers smuggled Iranian diesel, handy cameras

KARACHI: Customs Collectorate Gwadar seized 22,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel during a crackdown, while in another action the customs authorities seized 150 non-duty paid handy cameras.

According to sources, Collector Gwadar Customs Saeed Akram received information that a huge quantity of Iranian diesel is being smuggled. He formed a team which started checking of vehicles. The Customs team intercepted an oil tanker near Khushab Road and recovered 22,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel. The Customs team asked the driver of the vehicle to produce legal documents, but he failed to provide any relevant documents in this regard. Customs team arrested the suspect.
