Gwadar Customs seizes huge quantity of smuggled Iranain brake oil

GWADAR: Collectorate of Customs team seized a huge quantity of Iranian brake oil and different parts of vehicle engine worth Rs 6 million on 11 December 2018.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Gwadar Junaid Mehmood received secret information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle Iranian brake oil and different parts of vehicle engine from Gwadar to Karachi.

After receiving this information, he constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector Yahya Khan and others. The team, during a search operation near main Gwadar road, intercepted a truck bearing registration No GN-7846.

During a search, the team impounded 3 thousand canes of Irani break oil and a large number of different engine parts (packed in different packets) valued at Rs 6 million including a truck used in smuggling.

The team seized all the smuggled items and arrested the truck driver, who was later identified Jabbar Khattak. Customs team after registering a case of smuggling against the accused persons started investigation.
