GWADAR: The Customs Collectorate seized huge quantity of smuggled items during the month of June worth Rs34.21 million. The seized items includes electronic accessories, Iranian diesel, mobile phone, blankets, non-duty paid confectioneries items, hashish, bottles of wines.
According to details, the Collectorate impounded electronic accessories worth Rs7.23 million, (DVD sets, LED TVs, monitors, ram, mobile ones,) 89,000 liters Iranian diesel worth Rs11.12 million, different kinds of mobile phones worth Rs7.86 million, 75 kilogram hashish worth Rs 8 million and other things.
Source said that Deputy Collector Junaid Mehmood directed all anti smuggling-squads to adopt zero tolerance policy about smuggling.
Sources said that Customs Gwadar will start grand operation against illegal petrol pumps and Iranian diesel and illegal petrol pump.
