SIALKOT: Gujranwala Commissioner Division Khawaja Shamail Ahmed has expressed dismay and grave concern over the poor performance of the Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) concerned, which remained miserably failed to achieve the fixed official recovery target of Rs 5.63 billion as stamp duty, registration fees and capital value tax in Gujranwala Division’s all the six Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.
The commissioner has directed the District Collectors concerned to chalk out an effective action plan to ensure 100 percent recovery in their respective districts.
The TMAs concerned could only recover Rs 1.69 billion against its fixed official recovery target of Rs 5.63 billion and this recovery is less them 30 percent of the total fixed recovery target.
