Haroon Akhtar, Dr Irshad assure telecom industry a level-playing field

ISLAMABAD: A meeting of officials of the Ministry of Information Technology and representatives of telecom industry of the country was held with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue Senator Haroon Akhtar Khan and Chairman FBR Dr Muhammad Irshad at the FBR House the other day. Minister of State for Information Technology Ms Anusha Rahman and PTA Chairman Dr. Syed Ismail Shah were also present in the meeting.

During the meeting, issues related to telecom industry were discussed. The captains of the telecom industry apprised the FBR management of issues related to taxation in the telecom sector and offered proposals and suggestions for further boosting growth, investment and employment opportunities in the sector.
