LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-II (RTO) issued a show cause notice to Higher Education Commission (HEC) Additional Secretary Silwat Saeed.
Sources told Customs Today that the tax authorities sent several notices to the official urging her to file her income tax return and wealth statement for the year 2015 but she paid no heed it.
The sources said that finally the RTO-II served a notice on her granting her one month time to file th tax return and wealth statement.
They added that failure in this regard will prompt the tax authority to impose penalty on her.
