HONG KONG: Shares in Hong Kong fell in the morning session Friday following losses in New York and on concerns about mainland Chinese corporate earnings.
The Hang Seng Index lost 0.20 percent, or 44.69 points, to 22,775.25.
But in Shanghai the benchmark composite index reversed early losses, edging up 0.12 percent, or 4.09 points, to 3,391.41.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, added 0.76 percent, or 15.32 points, to 2,029.72.
