Hungary acknowledges 8 investor companies on big investment

BUDAPEST: Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) and Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign affairs and trade recognized 8 big investors with awards that have made big investments in the country recently. Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó and HIPA chairman Róbert Ésik presented the investor of the year awards in eight different categories.

Japanese owned automotive industry supplier Denso Gyártó Magyarország won the award for biggest expansion. On creating most jobs the awards was given to Stockholm-based automotive safety company Autolivʼs local unit was recognized. Indian-owned Apollo Tyres was acknowledged for the biggest greenfield investment. . The Miskolc South Industrial Park in northeastern Hungary was named most investor-friendly industrial park of the year. This is the third year the awards have been presented.GE Hungary took the award for the biggest regional service center development. The award for biggest regional service expansion went to IT Services Hungary. Nokia Solutions and Networks was recognized as the year’s best research and development investor. Hajdú Autotechnika took the award for best Hungarian supplier.
