Hyderabad ASO confiscates 20 cartons of gutka

HYDERABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has seized smuggled Indian gutka worth Rs 600,000 during a raid in Kotri, Hyderabad

As per details, the ASO team following credible information received through Hyderabad Customs Collector Dr Ahmed Mujtaba Memon, under the super vision of Additional Collector Umar Shafique conducted a raid to hold smuggled contraband item.

The ASO team comprising Superintendent Sikandar Akbar Phanwar, Deputy Superintendent Anwar Ahmad Saddiqui, Inspector Waqar Ahmad Baig and others conducted raid and held 20 cartons of gutka, which were being smuggled from Quetta to Hyderabad

The suspects managed to escape from the scene, while the team took items in its custody. Further investigations are underway in this regard.
