Hyderabad ASO confiscates smuggled CNG cylinders, auto parts

HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Hyderabad’s Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) has seized eight pieces of smuggled CNG cylinder and auto parts worth Rs 500,000 in an action.

The ASO team following the instruction of Collector of Hyderabad, Dr Ahmed Mujtaba Memon conducted raid in the region to curb smuggling under the supervision of Additional Collector Umar Shafique.

The team recovered eight pieces of CNG cylinders worth Rs 400,000 and auto parts including 52 pieces of axles worth Rs 110,000 while raiding a warehouse in the area.

The officials asked the driver to produce the documents showing the legal import of the vehicle but he remained fail on which custom seized the items under prevailing customs law.

The ASO team comprising Senior Inspector Abdul Ghafar Shiekh, Inspector Shafi Mohammad Jamali, Sepoys Mohammad Sadiqe Khaskheli and others participated in the raid.
