Hyderabad ASO impounds smuggled Toyota Crown Saloon car

HYDERABAD: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) Hyderabad has impounded a non-duty paid vehicle worth Rs 600,000 involving duty/taxes of Rs 559,200.

As per details, ASO team following the instruction of Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad Collector Ahmad Mujtaba Memon conducted raid to capture the smuggled vehicles in the region.

ASO team intercepted a vehicle, Toyota Crown Saloon car bearing Registration No. B-1253 near a Ali CNG station Qasmabad, Hyderabad and asked the driver to produce any legal documents regarding the legal possession of the vehicle, but he could not show any documents on which customs impounded the vehicle.

ASO team under the supervision of Additional Collector Omer Shafique, comprising Inspector Waqar Ahmad Baig, Shafi Mohammad and Mohammad Jamil participated in the raid.
