Hyderabad ASO seizes 500 hair dry machines, hair colour

KARACHI: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), Hyderabad, has seized a huge quantity of foreign origin 500 hair dry machines and hair colour while four men were arrested during the action.

Collector Agha Shahid Majeed received information that smugglers were planning to take contraband items out of the city. Consequently, he informed the Additional Deputy Collector Umar Shafiq and instructed him to foil the attempt of smuggling. Additional Collector formed a team included Inspector Mumtaz Jokheo, Inspector Raheel Ali Khan, Inspector Mumtaz Khan and others. The team established check points at main entry and exit points of the city and started the checking of the vehicles.

During the checking of the vehicle the team intercepted a suspicious truck. During the searching of the truck the customs officials found 500 hair dresser machines and more than 2000 tubes of non-duty paid hair colors. The anti-smuggling squad seized t contraband items and arrested two persons who were involved in smuggling. Customs officials said that the value of confiscated items is more than Rs 1.2 million.
