HYDERABAD: Customs Hyderabad authorities recovered a huge quantity of smuggled Iranian diesel during a crackdown here.
Sources told Customs Today that Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) intercepted an oil tanker near Hyderabad Bypass and recovered 36,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel. The market value of the seized smuggled Iranian is Rs 0.3 million.
It is pertinent to mention here that Hyderabad customs authorities seized at least 10,0000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel during the last five months. Customs authorities already have sped up their efforts to curb smuggling in the area.
