IHC adjourns hearing of cases filed against Customs Appellate Tribunal, ATIR

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday adjourned the hearing of cases after connecting them with main cases involving Customs Appellate Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah heard the reference filed against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) by M/s Capgas challenging decision of the ATIR pertaining to a sales tax matter.

The court heard arguments on the reference and linked it with another case of the ATIR after finding the matters similar in both cases.

Another IHC divisional bench comprising of Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani took on hearing customs reference filed by Safdar Hayat in which the appellant had challenged Custom Appellate Tribunal, Islamabad decision through the petition. This reference was also connected with another case and was dated in office.
