IHC adjourns hearing of tax matters filed against decisions of ATIR

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned a hearing of the tax matters, challenging decision of the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the tax references based on the federal excise duty and sales tax.

M/s CMPak Limited had filed the federal excise duty reference in which it had challenged a decision pronounced by ATIR. Sales tax reference was filed by Islamabad Electric Supply Corporation (IESCO). IESCO had too sought relief against an ATIR decision. The court adjourned hearing for third week of June.

The bench also hear an income tax matter which is filed by Gabor Nagi against the ATIR and dated the case in office.
