IHC admits contempt plea against TDAP CEO SM Muneer

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court admitted contempt of court plea against Chief Executive Officer of TDAP S.M. Muneer.

Sources told Customs Today, that Islamabad High Court already issued him a notice in this regard. Sources said that IHC barred SM Muneer to take part in FPCCI elections campaign but during a luncheon hosted by a candidate who is taking part in the elections for senior vice president Khalid Tawab, SM Muneer appealed to audience to vote for Khalid Tawab.

After his speech a candidate of businessmen panel Senator Haji Ghulam Ali filed a petition in Islamabad High Court against S.M. Muneer. In his petition which was filed through advocate Justice (R) Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said that SM Muneer is taking part in election campaign which is clear violation of election rules.

After his arguments, Justice Amir Farooq of Islamabad High Court issued contempt of court notice to S.M. Muneer.
