ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court on Friday disposed of a case filed against Regional Tax Office, Islamabad and restricted it from recovering Rs 3,686, 689 from appellant account.
IHC judge, Justice Aamer Farooq announced this while concluding the cases filed by Gabor Nagi-who had challenged RTO order passed under Section 122(5A) of income tax ordinance, 2001. In the said order, RTO’s officer had demanded Rs 3,686, 689 from Nagi’s bank account.
The court also directed the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) to decide the Nagi’s tax matter within 60 days.
Nagi had filed the case in which he had made FBR, ATIR, Additional Inland Revenue (audit), Islamabad, and others a respondent.
