IHC dismiss petition filed against LTU official

ISLAMABAD: A single bench of Islamabad High Court dismissed a petition filed against LTU officer.

IHC Judge, Justice Aamer Farooq heard the tax reference filed by Wi-Tribe Pakistan Limited and dismissed it for non-prosecution. The case was filed against assistant commissioner of Large Taxpayer’s Unit (LTU).

Meanwhile, a division bench of IHC adjourned hearing of cases filed by Large Taxpayer’s Unit (LTU). IHC division bench comprising of Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah adjourned hearing of tax references filed by LTU officers, Commissioner of Income Tax against M/s Economic Fuels Private limited and Muhammad Khalid Randhawa who was the named respondent on part of Shoukat and Sons Limited.

LTU commissioner Inland Revenue had also filed cases against M/s National Telecommunication Corporation and M/s Askari Gaurds Private Limited.

Court’s administration now would schedule the next date of hearing for the said cases.
