IHC division bench will hear tax reference filed by M/s Nowshera today

ISLAMABAD: A division bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear a sales tax reference filed by M/s Nowshera on Wednesday.

The IHC bench comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani will hear the reference filed against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

The appellant had challenged ATIR decision through the petition in which the tribunal had maintained the RTO’s decision on recovery of outstanding tax amount under head of sales tax under provision of Sales Tax Act.

Meanwhile, another bench of IHC will hear a tax reference involving the claim of Rs 871.3 million as outstanding recoverable tax amount. The appellant in this case had challenged hte LTU order regarding recovery of the said amount.
