IHC division benches adjourns hearing of five tax references

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday adjourned the hearing of five tax references involving Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

A division bench of the IHC comprising  Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard four tax references filed against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

These references had been filed by M/s Khyber Logistic (Private) Limited and Muhammad Anwar Khan. The bench adjourned the hearing of M/s Khyber Logistic until June 23 and connected Khan’s cases with another which would be heard next month.

Both the appellants had filed two petitions each in which they had challenged the ATIR’s decisions before the court.

The court of divisional bench, comprising Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah heard income tax reference filed against Appellate Tribunal Inland by the Revenue Commissioner Inland Revenue, LTU, Islamabad and adjourned hearing till October 30th.
