IHC issue notices to ATIR after hearing tax references

ISLAMABAD: A division bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notices to Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) while hearing four tax references.

The division bench comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the cases filed by  M/s Khyber  Logistics (Private) Limited and Muhammad Anwar Khan.

The IHC issued notices to ATIR and other respondents from the Large Taxpayer’s Unit, Islamabad. The court had asked the tribunal and LTU to submit details of the matters filed by the appellants.

Each of the appellant had filed two different references, challenging ATIR decisions given in preceding years regarding duty and taxes.
