IHC issues notice to Large Taxpayer’s Unit in case filed by OGRA

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notice to the Large Taxpayer’s Unit, Islamabad, in a case filed by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

A division  bench of the IHC comprising Justice Noorul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah heard the tax reference filed by OGRA and issued notice to the Commissioner Inland Revenue of LTU to appear before the court on the next hearing.

The same bench of the IHC would hear 12 tax references on Friday involving LTU officers.

Out of these, Commissioner of Income Tax had filed one reference against M/s Mari Gas Company Limited, five tax references were filed by Commissioner Inland Revenue, (Legal) LTU, Isalamabad against M/s Bahawalpur Engineering (Pvt) Limited.

Other than these cases, one was filed by M/s Telenor Pakistan Private Limited against Commissioner Inland Revenue, and six references were filed by M/s Pakistan Television Corporation Limited against Commissioner IR.
