ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issue notices to parties hearing a case filed by Customs Department.
A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddique and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the customs reference filed against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue under title Central Excise and Sales Tax Appellate Tribunal.
Collector Customs, Rawalpindi, had filed the reference though Advocate Hafiz Munawar Iqbal.
The petitioner had challenged ATIR jurisdiction to decide the fate of cases cases in which both institutions were made part.
Meanwhile, the same bench also heard and adjourned cases filed by commissioner inland revenue against Zarai Tarqiati Bank Limited.
