IHC postpones hearing of two references filed against ATIR

ISLAMABAD:  The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday adjourned the hearing of a couple of cases filed against Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR).

Two division benches of the IHC heard the tax references. A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard and adjourned the hearing of a reference filed by M/s Awan CNG Re-Filling Corporation (Private) Limited against ATIR. The bench will resume the hearing of the reference in the last week of April.

Another bench, comprising of Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, adjourned the hearing of two tax references filed against ATIR by Pepsi Cola International (Private) Limited.

Both the appellants had challenged the ATIR decisions before the court.
