IHC summons Customs Appellate Tribunal on Feb. 2

ISLAMABAD: Customs Appellate Tribunal will contend on February 2 regarding its earlier given decisions which have been challenged in the before the Islamabad High Court.

In this regard, an official letter was issued by the IHC, conveying the tribunal to take part in court’s proceedings pertaining to two customs references.

M/s.  Al-Haj Enterprise had filed the reference at IHC in which the tribunal would contend company’s submission.

The court letter further stated: “you (the tribunal) are hereby summoned to appear in this court (IHC) in person or by a pleader duly instructed and able to answer all court’s questions relating to the matter on 2/02/2016.”

The notice further cautioned that “in default of your appearance on the day before the court, the case will be heard and determined in your absence.”
