IHC to hear couple of tax references on Monday

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear a couple of tax matters involving Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR) on Monday.

Two division benches of the IHC would hear the cases, an income tax matter filed in 2014 and another tax reference of the federal excise duty filed in 2016.

A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Noor Ul Haq N Qureshi and Justice Athar Minallah would hear the income tax matter. The appellant, Fazalur Rehman, had challenged an ATIR decision on income tax recovery before the court.

Another division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb will hear the federal excise duty reference. M/s CMPak Limited had filed this case making ATIR as respondent. The appellant had also made parties to the FBR officers in the case.
