KARACHI: The importers and Customs agents have demanded proper seating arrangements in Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Appraisement-West for the hearing of their cases.
As per details, importers and customs agents have complained that they have to wait in long queues from morning to evening for the hearing of their cases as there was no proper seating arrangement in hearing halls.
“Absence of proper seating created difficulties for those who came for the hearing of their cases in the Collectorate of Appraisement-West,” an importer told.
A Customs agent on condition of anonymity informed Customs Today that the process of hearing in MCC Appraisement-West was one of the difficult tasks to accomplish, as waiting in long queues without proper seating arrangement was very difficult for us.
It is pertinent to mention here that the situation in MCC Appraisement-East was comparatively different from Appraisement-West, as there were official installed proper seating arrangements and build halls for hearing, where the importers and Customs agents can easily sit and wait for their turn.
The importers and Customs agents demanded proper seating arrangements for MCC Appraisement-West too.
