KARACHI: The Customs Valuation Department has been shaken up after new management takes over. New Director General of Customs Valuation Tanveer Ahmed and Director Customs Valuation Wasif Memon, after assuming the charge of their offices, presided over a meeting to cope with the issues related to importers.
According to details, Director General Customs Valuation and Director Customs Valuation Wasif Memon seems much eager to improve the performance of the department.
According to sources, the importers have made many complaints to the high officials against the smuggling of shoe polish, cosmetics items, toys, dry milk and auto mobile parts through border.
The importers lauds the appointment of Tanveer Ahmed as the new Director General Customs Valuation and feel their grievances will soon be resolved.
