KARACHI: The price of gas has increased 53 percent for the industrial consumers and 30 percent for the captive power plants. Pakistan Apparel Forum Chairman Muhammad Javaid Balwani has said that we will not be able to compete in the international market and exporters will be unable to meet the demand of annual orders due to greater cost value. He said further that all the captive power plants had been fixed in imported textile plants that work on natural gas. These plants are of generation cycle plants out of which mostly fall in one mega watt capacity and their thermal capacity is 40 to 70 percent.
