Inland Revenue officer of BS-17 reinstated

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), converting the major penalty of removal from service into minor penalty, has reinstated Khalid Hassan Khan (an Inland Revenue Service officer of BS-17) into service with immediate effect.

The competent authority, acting upon the judgment of Federal Service Tribunal (FST), converted the major penalty into minor one under Rule 4(1)(a)(ii) of the Government Servants (Efficiency & Discipline) Rules, 1973 of withholding of three increments otherwise than for unfitness for promotion for a period of two years, as directed by the FST.
