Sources in the FBR said the revenue body is facing acute revenue collection shortage during the current month due to short number of days, besides public holiday on account of Kashmir Day on February 5.

The FBR has collected over Rs2 trillion during July-January 2017/18. The revenue collecting agency requires another Rs2 trillion in the remaining five months of the current fiscal year to meet the fiscal year target of Rs4.013 trillion.
