IO submits charge-sheet against suspects booked in mis-declaration case

KARACHI: The Investigation Officer submitted an interim charge-sheet against the absconding suspects before Customs (Taxation & Anti-Smuggling) Court Judge Syed Faiz Rasool Rashdi. The accused were booked in a case of mis-declaration.

During the hearing, Investigation Officer informed the court that investigation directors/ involved persons of M/s ATS Synthetic Pvt Ltd, Directors/ involved persons of M/s Inservay Pakistan Pvt Ltd, owners/ partners of M/s S.K Enterprises, were found involved in mis-declaration and prosecution is trying to arrest them but they have not been arrested yet.

He further submitted that suspects would be produced before this court when arrested.

According to the prosecution, a case was registered against the abovementioned absconding suspects for violation of under section 19, 32 (1), 32 (2) 32A, 79 of the Customs Act-1969 punishable under clauses 10A, 14A, and 46 of section 156 (I) of the Customs Act-1969.
