KARACHI: The Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Inland Revenue has arrested a suspect who is allegedly involved in making forged sales tax invoices.
Sources informed Customs Today that the director intelligence received credible information that a person is involved in making forged sales tax notices. He formed a team comprising Deputy Director Asif Ali and Audit Officer Rashid. The team raided a compound located in Malir area and arrested a person who was identified as Amin. He is employed with M/s. Furqan Haider Corporation. Sources said that the arrested accused had been making forged sales tax invoices from the last three years.
During initial interrogation, arrested accused revealed that he was engaged with eight companies for making forged invoices.
