ISLAMABAD: The Finance Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting to review and finalize arrangements for the visit of Dr. Jim Yong Kim, President World Bank.
The Secretary Economic Affairs Division, Tariq Bajwa informed that the President World Bank would visit Pakistan from 9-10 February for which detailed engagements schedule is being chalked out. The Vice President, World Bank’s South Asia Region, Annette Dixon would also accompany Mr. Jim Yong Kim. The visiting dignitary would have a special interaction with economic ministers and experts during his visit.
The meeting was also given a detailed review of Pak-World Bank economic cooperation and also updated on different important projects being undertaken through funding from the Bank.
Governor State Bank, Ashraf Mahmood Wathra on this occasion briefed the meeting on the Net International Reserves (NIR) and Net Domestic Assets (NDA).
Secretary BISP briefed the meeting on various BISP activities that may be of interest to the visiting dignitary.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Finance have also attended the meeting.
