Islamabad Customs seizes 790 kg clothes worth Rs 414750

ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad seized Made in India ladies suiting cloth of 790 kilo grams under value of Rs414750 from Grand Trunk (GT) Road Mandhra.

As per details Deputy Collector Shahid Jan said that during the anti smuggling operation of customs collectorate Mobile squad Modal Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad have been seized ladies suiting cloth 21 cottons made by India.

The Deputy Collector said that a Mazda Truck was coming from Peshawar and interceptrd by anti smuggling squad near GT Road Mandhra. The team during investigation recovered the clothes and demanding of relevant documents the driver of said vehicle but he remained failed to provide required document.

The Squad arrested the driver and seized the goods, total seized quantity was 790 Kilo grams and its approximately market value was Rs414750 the Deputy Collector pointed up.

The FIR has been registered against the evader and case has been refer to investigation and prosecution for further action.
