Islamabad Customs takes internal security measures

ISLAMABAD: On the direction of Customs North Chief collector Sarwat Tahira Habib and Islamabad Customs Collector Dr. Arslan Sabugtageen, the Model Customs Collectorate has taken a new internal security measures.

Assistant Collector Headquarters Sadia Usman issued a circular stating that all incharges of security section shall ensure that all sections of the collectorate are properly locked, side windows are closed including the main entry points and all electronic items are switched off after closing time.

According to the circular, only vehicles of BS-17 and above officers based in Customs house, Islamabad bearing special stickers will be allowed parking inside the premises, while no any private vehicle shall be allowed.

The security stickers will be issued from office of the assistant collector. The guests visiting customs house shall be checked at main entry gate and allowed to visit office after retaining CNIC or original driving license at the main gate.

The duty security staff shall first confirm the visit of guest from the office or official concerned whom the guest belong.
