ARIFWALA: Provincial Minister for Agriculture Dr Farrukh Javed said the process of potato export to international markets had been started and growers would get best rates of their yields.
Talking to media persons, he said, potato was being exported to a number of countries especially to Russia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka. He said the government was taking effective measures to facilitate the exporters in potato export.
“We are planning to export at least 3 million ton potatoes this year,” he said, adding that their prime objective was that growers could get maximum benefit of their hard work in the shape of better price of their produce.
